He is here!

Sorry for the lack of posts. It has been a battle of sleep versus computer time and sleep is winning. Gavin Thomas was born on Monday, July 27th at 1:54 pm. He weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and was 18 and 3/4 inches long. Things have been going great. My mom was here last week and helped take care of the girls. Thanks to her and everyone else that has helped (Elizabeth and Kara, among others). Hannah has adjusted really well to having a little brother and Abby has done a lot better than expected. The girls are a little sick which makes things a little more rough on them. Adjusting after baby #3 has been so good so far. I am loving being home with all of the kids and trying to get back into some sort of routine. Gavin is such a good baby, really laid back so far.

Wow, it has been awhile!!

This spring/summer has flown by. We have been very busy, but having a great time. I can't possibly get caught up on everything that we have been up to, but I wanted to post a few pictures before Gavin makes his arrival. We are scheduled to be induced Monday morning at 7am if he does not decide to come before then.

Hannah celebrated her third birthday this week, I can not believe that she is getting so big. She is going to start preschool this fall. We recently bought her school supplies including a back pack. For the first few days she carried it around with her everywhere. Even taking it to my doctor's appointment, so she could show my doctor. She is turning into such a young lady. She is very protective of Abby and mimicks a lot of what I do/say. Which can be funny, but can also be scary. I have to watch everything that I do.

Abby on the other hand follows Hannah and imitates her. She looks up to her big sister, but can also be very independent. Lately she insists on dressing herself, getting her dishes, putting on her own seatbelt, etc. Although she is a big help, it also takes a lot longer to get things done. She likes to jump all of the time. On the ground, off of stepstools or really anything that she can climb on. She is our little daredevil.

Both girls are amazing and have such the personalities. They are at fun ages and still crack me up daily.

Hannah currently enjoys...
princeses
dressing up, turning on the radio and dancing
carrying around her backpack full of toys
going for walks
her cousins
playing princeses on the computer
swimming, started using water wings and can get around pretty well, loves to be
thrown up in the air

Abby currently enjoys...
riding her play horse
jumping
saying "no" in a high pitched voice when you ask for a kiss and laughing (she
thinks she is pretty funny)
being outside--she could spend all day outside if I would let her, asks to eat
breakfast outside daily
her cousins
playing the alphabet on the computer, actually anything alphabet--books, etc.
swimming, loves jumping in from the edge (with daddy catching her)
eatting, that girl can eat anytime (although she is only in the 3rd percentile for
weight)

I will try to post more information and hopefully some pictures soon of our new little guy. It will not be long now...

Baby J and Big Sister J

I love seeing the affection that an older sister shows towards her new sibling. It is amazing the love that is automatically there, right from the beginning.

Cohen Dean - 6 days old

My cousin Erin and her husband Shelton just had their first baby. Erin and I are the same age and we were like sisters growing up, our moms often dressed us in coordinating outfits. So you can imagine my extreme joy when they announced they were pregnant. I am so excited for them and they have the most precious little boy. Congratulations guys. I can not wait to hug on him again.

Edited to add one more picture from that session...
